Penguins Brave cold Water:

Left: The Venice Penguin Swim Club’s annual New Year’s Dive took place at noon on Tuesday, January 1, at the Breakwater in Venice. Hundreds of happy participants took part on a crystal clear day with dolphins swimming through the area. Top Right: Julian Myers, 89, (in t-shirt) of Marina del Rey, is greeted by his friend Gene Meyers after taking part in the swim for the ninth time. Myers ran three miles before swimming.
