The medical drama “The Pitt” led California Film and Television Tax Credit recipients with 25 nominations for the 78th Primetime Emmy Awards, the most of any project this year.

“The Pitt,” an HBO Max series starring Noah Wyle, received nominations for outstanding drama series and acting nods for Wyle and Katherine LaNasa.
Other nominated tax credit projects include “Spider-Noir” (11 nominations), “Fallout” (9), “Margo’s Got Money Troubles” (8), “Euphoria” (7), “Paradise” (7), “The Muppet Show” (6), “The Comeback” (2), “All’s Fair” (2), “The ‘Burbs” (1) and “The Rookie” (1).
The 78th Emmy Awards are scheduled for Sept. 14 at the Peacock Theater in downtown Los Angeles.
California’s tax credit program, which began in 2009, has supported numerous productions filmed in the state. The state says the current round of projects is projected to generate $6.6 billion in direct spending.
