The LA Jazz Festival has released an updated schedule for its 2026 edition, adding free outdoor concerts and confirming the main two-night Jazz on the Beach event at Dockweiler Beach.
A free Opening Day event, billed as Jazz in the Park, is set for Saturday, Aug. 8, at Edward Vincent Jr. Park in Inglewood. A second free Jazz in the Park concert will follow on Sunday, Aug. 16, at Magic Johnson Park. On Thursday, Aug. 20, a free evening of live jazz called Jazz After Dark is planned at Harold & Belle’s restaurant.
The festival’s main concerts will take place Aug. 22 and 23 at Dockweiler Beach.
Announced performers include John Legend, Janelle Monáe, Parliament Funkadelic featuring George Clinton, Original Koffee, Raphael Saadiq, Charlie Wilson, Joey Alexander, Big Freedia, Ezra Collective, Free Nationals & Friends, Nubya Garcia, Terrace Martin, Pedrito Martínez, Alfredo Rodríguez, Poncho Sanchez, Justin Lee Schultz and the LA Jazz Festival All Star Band. Special programming includes “Michelle Coltrane Celebrates the Coltrane Centennial” and an appearance by the LA Jazz Festival Foundation Youth All Stars.
A free multi-week youth camp with workshops and masterclasses is also part of the festival.
