A special benefit performance of Eve Ensler’s award-winning play The Vagina Monologues will be given at the Silver Screen Theater in the Pacific Design Center this weekend.
The cast will include Rachelle Carson, Janet Chapman, Andrea Evans, Kim Fields, Mayor Pro Tempore, City of West Hollywood Abbe Lane, Eva Tamargo Lemus, April Madson, Jerri Mantheney, Liz Sheridan, and Kira Soltanovich.
The performance will benefit the Fund For Women of Iraq: Under Siege; Jewish Family Services’ Family Violence Project; the National Council of Jewish Women’s Women Helping Women Program; and the V-Day Worldwide Campaign.
Prefaced by a silent auction at 7 p.m., the performance will begin at 8 p.m. on Saturday, February 26, and will be followed by a catered reception with the cast at 9:30 p.m., with food and drinks provided by The House of Blues and Urth Caffe.
The performance is being presented by producers Amanda Hendon, Angela Neave and Kerstin Newland of Plain Jane Productions and The City of West Hollywood, and is designed to raise money and awareness for local organizations working to stop violence against women and girls.
The Silver Screen Theatre in the Pacific Design Center is located at 8687 Melrose Avenue in West Hollywood.
