Santa Monica Kids Join 18,000 in Dance:

Students from Crossroads Elementary joined more than 6,000 fifth grade students from across Los Angeles and more than 18,000 in total as part of the 46th Annual Blue Ribbon Children’s Festival with a simultaneous performance of a Hip-Hop dance on The Music Center Plaza.

Residents on Dewey Street reported toppled over pine trees next to Penmar Golf Course.

Urban Forest Task Force to the Rescue:

Recent heavy winds have caused havoc for some of the City’s youngest trees trying to make it on their own. Thanks to Santa Monica’s Urban Forest Task Force and vigilant residents, support stakes have been returned to help the saplings survive.
