Out Of The Box.
On Friday, August 5, at 10:52 p.m. officers of the Santa Monica Police Department rushed to investigate a report of an attempted residential burglary in the 1100 block of 24th Street. The officers learned that the reporting party had spotted the suspected burglar attempting to “jimmy” open the rear door of a nearby residence and that the reporting party had confronted the suspect about what he was doing.

Blues musician and four-time Blues Music Award winner Joe Louis Walker is played at Harvelle’s Friday night. I had the opportunity to sit down with Walker, an inductee of the Blues Music Hall of Fame in 2013, and ask him a few questions.
