Gourmet Grocery on Main:

Goudas and Vines, a gourmet grocery store featuring a wine bar, cheeses, meats, sandwiches, gelato, coffee, and other wares, celebrated its Grand Opening on Saturday, September 13, on Main Street between Bay Street and Bicknell Avenue on the site of the old Pioneer Boulangerie.

The ceremonies included free wine, cheese, and food demonstrations, such as the uses for the hand-made curry that the store carries. “We’re really excited about the cheese selection,” said shop manager and buyer Angela Bartys, adding that “the wine tastings [Thursdays through Saturdays, 5 to 9 p.m.] are a lot of fun.”

Hands-on owners Ian Kim and his son Brandon had the shop open for business during a “soft opening” period before September 13, but now with the Grand Opening under their belt, they are ready to take on all comers.
