Obama To Cause Traffic Jams In Westwood, Bel-Air Today:

Police are advising the public to avoid portions of Westwood and Bel-Air today because of President Barack Obama’s visit.

The following areas should be avoided from 9 to 11 a.m.:

— Wilshire Boulevard between Veteran and Comstock avenues; and

— Beverly Glen Boulevard between Ashton Avenue and Bellagio Road.

The following areas should be avoided between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.:

— Sunset Boulevard between Hilgard Avenue and Carolwood Drive;

— Beverly Glen Boulevard between Bellagio Road and Pico Boulevard: and

— Pico Boulevard between Prosser Avenue and Century Park East.

Hilgard Avenue in Westwood will be closed between Le Conte Avenue and Weyburn Avenue until 6 p.m.

Service on Metro Bus Lines 2 and 302 on Hilgard Avenue between Le Conte and Weyburn will be canceled through 4 pm.
