Santa Monica Public Library Presents “Inspiring Science: Women In Nanotechnology”:

Santa Monica Public Library presents “Inspiring Science: Women in Nanotechnology,” on Sunday, March 17, at 2 pm in the Main Library’s MLK Jr. Auditorium, 601 Santa Monica Boulevard.

Celebrate Women’s History Month by joining the library for a discussion with four women PhDs from the UC Center for Environmental Implications of Nanotechnology (UC-CEIN). 

Panelists Hilary Godwin, Barbara Herr Harthorn, Ivy Ji, and Mary Collins will discuss how nanotechnology is expected to create the next industrial revolution, and how work in the UC-CEIN focuses on ensuring that this technology is implemented safely and for the benefit of everyone. 

The panelists will also discuss their career paths in research and the sciences.

This program is free and open to the public. Seating is limited and on a first arrival basis.
