Track Santa Monica Development Projects On New Website:

The City of Santa Monica has launched a new website – www.smconstructs.org — for residents wanting to keep track about upcoming and ongoing City development projects and possible construction impacts.

Users can read about the variety of city projects, see renderings of the projects and photos of construction in progress, and view construction dates and upcoming meetings.

The site’s new interactive map will provide basic location about private development projects as well.

The site includes helpful links to more information about traffic and parking, and a way to get additional project information or give feedback through Santa Monica’s Government Outreach GO System.

The communications effort and community outreach campaign know as “Be Excited! Be Prepared: Santa Monica Constructs its Future” also includes social media, personal contact, and SM Alerts, a new system launched by the city that allows people to sign up for urgent notifications (in the event of an emergency) and regular updates on topics of interest.

This interdepartmental effort will inform the community about the progress of the many city projects that are being built in the City of Santa Monica.

City staff will work actively with community partners to keep residents, businesses, and visitors up-to-date and engaged on the progress of these projects.
