On Sunday, Dec. 4, at 7 p.m. officers of the Santa Monica Police Department went to the luxurious and indulgent Fairmont Miramar Hotel, located at 101 Wilshire Boulevard, in order to investigate a disturbance.

When they arrived at the eminently comfortable hotel the officers spoke with the suspect, a man who was very, very drunk, and who was standing outside the hotel with the security staff.

This man told the officers that he had been at the famously opulent auberge (popularly frequented by patrons who display a classy and cultured demeanor) with his girlfriend when all of a sudden she had punched him in the face, for no apparent reason, he claimed.

He told the officers he wanted this woman arrested for her unprovoked affront. The officers then went and spoke with the girlfriend, and immediately noticed that she displayed multiple injuries about her head, face and arms, received it appeared from the drunken boyfriend after he had punched her many times.

Based upon their investigation the officers deemed the boyfriend to be the primary aggressor and he was arrested. This 31-year-old resident of West Hills was charged with spousal battery. His bail was set at $20,000.
