Son of Ex-Samohi Athlete Picks UCLA:

In the mid-1970s, Chris Moline played football and baseball at Santa Monica High. Today he is the father of two football-playing sons. The younger one, Chane, is the premier high school running back in Orange County as a junior. The older one, Chase, is a lineman who revealed last week he is going to UCLA.

Chase Moline made his decision following a home visit from Bruin head coach Karl Dorrell. He chose UCLA over Boise State.

Chase Moline is 6-foot-1, 260, and that’s considered small for major college football. Although he is regarded as undersized, he was a high school all-star who started for Mission Viejo High on both offense and defense, the only two-way starter on a championship team.

While Chase competes for playing time at UCLA his younger brother, who combines speed and power at 235 pounds, is expected to be one of the most recruited players in the nation when he comes out of high school.
