Losses End Basketball Season for Crossroads

The basketball season ended for the Crossroads boys basketball team in a CIF playoff 66-53 loss to Verbum Dei last week.

In earlier round play, Village Christian defeated Malibu, 63-48 and advanced to a game against Crossroads. In that contest, Crossroads eliminated Village Christian, 48-45.

Crossroads finished with an 18-8 record, including 7-1 in the Olympic League.

 

Crossroad, St. Monica, Girls Lose in Playoffs

The Crossroads girls basketball team also made the CIF playoffs but lost to Arrowhead Christian, 60-41. The Roadrunners finished with a 7-10 record, including 5-4 in league competition.

The St. Monica girls reached the CIF playoffs but were eliminated by Laguna Beach, 52-43.

 

New Roads Girls Almost Make It        The New Roads girls advanced the furthest of any Santa Monica school, winning three playoff games before losing. The Jaguars defeated L.A. Lutheran 64-23, Hesperia Christian 73-35 and J Serra, 46-36 before losing to Pacific Hills, 45-43.
