Students Job for Science, Art:

Students often jog to classes, but Thursday they’ll be jogging for cash.

The first annual John Muir Jog-a-Thon will take place on the Muir/SMASH playing field on Thursday, March 17, at 9 a.m.

Students will run 20-minute laps to raise money for the Muir PTA, in support of science and art programs and more.

There will also be prizes for the runners – ranging from Popsicles to Scholastic Book Certificates to Disneyland tickets.Residents who would like to help by making pledges or helping with the Jog-A-thon should contact Linda Davis for more information at (310) 392-8895, lindavis@earthlink.net. Or they can simply cheer the students on, 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., Thursday.
