Santa Monica’s premier pub, Ye Olde Kings Head, hasbeen sold by Phil and Ruth Elwell to Paul Boetcher and Donal Tavey, operators of Busby’s in West Los Angeles.“We’ve both shed a few tears over it,” said Ruth Elswell, “but after 31 years and at this stage in our lives we’re ready to relax a bit…We would not have sold until we were sure it was in good hands, with Paul and Donal I am sure we’ve found them.”
