Babes in Arms Performances Benefit Local Red Cross:

Four performances of the classic Broadway musical Babes in Arms at the Miles Playhouse will benefit the Santa Monica chapter of the American Red Cross.

Performances are scheduled for 8 p.m. Thursday though Saturday, September 22 through September 24 and the 5 p.m. Sunday, September 25 performance.

$25 of the $45 ticket price will help support local disaster relief.

This new production of the 1937 hit, Babes in Arms, with music by Richard Rogers and lyrics by Lorenz Hart, features new orchestrations of such songs classics as “My Funny Valentine” and “The Lady Is a Tramp.” Fred Deni produced it in association with the Ruskin Group Theatre.

A historic display of Red Cross equipment, a World War II era Red Cross tent and other memorabilia will be on view in the lobby of Miles Playhouse in conjunction with the fundraising performances.Ticket information and sales are available at (310) 397-3244 or visit www.plays411.com.
