The Other Venice Film Festival’s 2005 Abbot Awards were presented at the Abbot Kinney Street Festival. Painter Ed Ruscha (pictured left) was on hand to receive his Abbot. Actress Alley Mills accepted the Abbot on behalf of her husband Orson Bean, as did Negrita Hines on behalf of her late husband Gregory Hines. Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa attended the ceremonies. (pictured right with Ruby De La Casas, co-founder of The Other Venice Film Festival).
