Downtown Santa Monica will be the site of a variety of Halloween activities, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, October 29-31.
Tawni’s Ponies & Petting Farm will offer free pony rides for children at the Third Street Promenade (near Broadway) on Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. A free petting farm will feature chickens, ducks, goats, sheep and a pot bellied pig.
On Sunday, October 30, between 1 and 4 p.m., children can play a free round of Mini-Golf at Pirate’s Pier Mini Golf at Pacific Park on the Santa Monica Pier. Golf and receive 25 percent off on unlimited-ride-all-day wristbands with coupon presentation. Coupons can be found in the October issue of the Bayside Beat, the newsletter of the Bayside District Corporation, as well as in the Daily Breeze and Santa Monica Mirror.
On Halloween, Monday, October 31, “Trick or Treating” is scheduled at Santa Monica Place from 4 to 7 p.m.
Casper the Ghost, and his friend Wendy, the Good Little Witch, will attend all the scheduled events, encouraging kids to to “Be Seen on Halloween.”
On Sunday, Casper and Wendy will be on the pier and on Halloween at Santa Monica Place. There will be opportunities to win Casper DVDs and other ghostly giveaways throughout the scheduled activities.
At each of the events, children can can pick up a Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF collection box to take along when they go trick or treating.Half of the proceeds from the 2005 Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF campaign will be used to help Hurricane Katrina’s youngest survivors.
