David L. Abell died on February 11 after a long struggle. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Barbara, daughter Jami Abell Patterson and son-in-law Patrick Patterson, daughter Laurie Abell, grandchildren Danielle, Sarah, Michael, Ariel and Shane. David was preceded in death by his sister, Rosalee Abell Shaw, and brother Robert M. Abell. A service celebrating his life was held at Mount Sinai Memorial Park Hollywood Hills, 5950 Forest Lawn Drive, Los Angeles on Tuesday, February 14, at 10 a.m. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to The CARES Foundation, 189 Main Street, Milburn, NJ 07041, www.caresfoundation.org, or the ’UCLA Foundation’ David L.
