BaseballThe Santa Monica Little League will hold opening day ceremonies Saturday at Memorial Park. As the league’s many youngsters arrive in new uniforms, City leaders and former Dodger star Lou Johnson will welcome them. Also on Saturday at Memorial Park, the Santa Monica Fast Pitch softball season will begin. Games are scheduled through the day beginning at 9 a.m. with the last one scheduled for 6 p.m. BaseballThe high school baseball season will begin at the end of the month. Santa Monica High will participate in the Southern California/Royal Tournament, which includes a game at Malibu March 4.
