BROT Doner Cafe Bakery is preparing to open at 1348 3rd Street Promenade, the space previously occupied by a convenience store and earlier by Trimana.
The Santa Monica location will be a larger version of the brand’s existing Hollywood Boulevard spot, which specializes in Berlin-style döner. The new site is described as a modern bakery-café and kitchen offering handmade food, artisan pastries, desserts, coffee and döner sandwiches.
The menu includes beef, chicken and falafel “Brot” sandwiches on house-baked bread, along with lavash wraps, rice boxes, fries, baklava and drinks such as ayran. Prices for the signature sandwiches range from about $10.45 to $11.45.
No opening date has been announced.
