Connections for Children continues to raise awareness about the need for early childhood education with Raising Readers – A Literacy Festival. The organization is celebrating 30 years of providing services and support for quality child care throughout the community. The festival stresses the importance of how language development and literacy form the basis for children’s learning. The event is free, and will have entertainment, including Dan Crow and the Thunderwear Band.Raising Readers – A Literacy Festival is co-sponsored by SMC and the North Bay Association for the Education of Young Children.
