The Santa Monica Bay Chess Club begins its next chess tournament April 10th with a three round Quad. Players will be placed into groups of four according to ability.

At the beginning of April, three players won the Club’s 2006 Earl Briggs Memorial SMBCC Championship. Local Santa Monicans Jan Ludwinski, Ryan Richardson and Jamie Schloss were the winners.

The Club runs continuous tournaments every Monday from 7-11pm. It meets at Joslyn Park, 633 Kensington Rd., five blocks south of Pico Blvd. and two blocks west of Lincoln Blvd. All player levels are welcome. For more information, call 310.827.2789 or email smbchess@yahoo.com.
