Frank Dorrel, peace activist, will give the opening address at the Activist Support Circle public gathering. Dorrel is publisher of “Addicted to War: Why the U.S. Can’t Kick Militarism.”

Last month a California judge allowed a class action suit, filed on behalf of warehouse workers, to proceed against a subsidiary of Staples Inc. Among other things, workers said they were not being paid for time they spent – up to a half hour – standing in line waiting to undergo security checks.
