Southwest Hands SMC 21-7 Loss:

LA Southwest scored a touchdown in each of the first three quarters to defeat Santa Monica College 21-7 in a Western State Conference Southern Division football game Saturday night at Corsair Field.

The SMC touchdown came in the fourth quarter and was scored by LaVaughn Macon on a four-yard run.

SMC has a 1-4 record. Its lone victory came the previous week, 24-7, over West Los Angeles. John Weaver ran for 104 yards and Macon 103 in that game.

SMC will have a bye this weekend.
