Westside Challenge at SM-UCLA:

Event founder and breast cancer survivor Nina Nisenholtz gets a hug from UCLA mascot Joe Bruin as tennis coordinator Rick Grant looks on at the ninth annual Westside Challenge to Beat Breast Cancer event at the UCLA Tennis Center on October 21. More than 70 players participated in the round-robin tennis tournament to raise funds for the Low-Cost Mammography Screening Program at Santa Monica-UCLA Medical Center. Pico Farmer’s Market All Abuzz: Fun for the Family

Every Saturday from 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., one of Santa Monica’s four farmers markets is held at Virginia Avenue Park. Known as the Pico Farmers Market due to its central Pico district location, families from all over town gather for fresh produce, plants, coffee, prepared foods, music and more
