Los Angeles Veterans for Peace hosted a candlelight vigil at Arlington West on New Year�s Eve. New Year�s weekend marked the unfortunate milestone of 3,000 US military deaths in Iraq � 3,004 as of press time. Veterans for Peace has run out of permitted space on the beach north of the pier, so red crosses now represent 10 deaths and blue crosses represent one week�s death toll, 33 soldiers for the week of December 25 � December 31. photo by Margaret Molloy
