Liberty Hill Supports Grassroots Organizations:

The Santa Monica-based Liberty Hill Foundation gave away $3.18 million to grassroots organizations in 2006.

“We support groups that organize neighbors, parents and friends working together to change their community. Sometimes this organizing results in millions of people marching in the streets for humane immigration reform,” said Lina Paredes, Liberty Hill’s Director of Programs. “Always, smart organizing amplifies courageous voices challenging injustice.”

Beneficiaries included Coalition for Educational Justice, Multi-Ethnic Immigrant Workers Organizing Network and Los Angeles Youth Justice Coalition.
