High school baseball teams are permitted to begin practice February 12 for the 2007 season.
Santa Monica High’s first game will be against the Alumni February 17 at 9:30 a.m. on the campus field. The Vikings will then play in the Southern California Tournament, hosting Pacifica March 2 and Palisades March 3.
Returning all-CIF lefthander Joe McGrew is expected to be Samohi’s ace pitcher with Devon Ramirez also expected to be a starter.
The Vikings will have a senior starter at most positions.
