Men of Courage Discuss Dream:

Realizing the Dream: Santa Monica Men of Courage was a panel discussion with prominent Santa Monica African American community leaders at the Santa Monica Main Library’s Martin Luther King, Jr. Auditorium. The focus of the February 24 event was to advise young people and the community on strategies for success for local youth.

Indira Hale Tucker created and funded the Marcus Tucker Collection: Black Men of Courage to inspire young men. Nancy O’Neill, Principal Librarian for Reference Services, is in charge of collection development for the library system, and worked with Tucker to present this event. The collection is housed at the Main Library, where it will continue to be developed.
