The Golden West USA Table Tennis Tournament is scheduled for Santa Monica College’s Corsair Pavilion March 31 and April 1, featuring international participants.
The event will be held 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. both days. A brief ceremony will be held April 1 at 1 p.m., recognizing the 36th anniversary of ’’Ping Pong Diplomacy,’’ a match between the USA and China in 1971. The late Glenn Cowan, an SMC alumnus, was the youngest player on that USA squad.
