The latest contribution to Santa Monica’s extensive network of medical care is Premiere Oncology. Last week, Premiere opened a state-of-the-art 28,000 square foot facility devoted to cancer treatment and research, the largest of its kind in the Los Angeles area.
Being a private facility, Premiere has the advantage of being able to start trials quicker than at a university hospital, which could dramatically affect the health of patients.
“In order to bring a broader range of treatments to patients faster, the most innovative and cutting-edge therapies are now offered outside the large, traditional medical institutions and universities,” said Dr. Lee S. Rosen, president and founder of Premiere.
