Samohi Upgrades Football Schedule:

If you’re a fan of Santa Monica High football, get ready for a highly entertaining season.

Led by quarterback Ryan Katz, who recently verbally committed to Oregon State, the Vikings will play four of their first five games at Corsair Field – all against quality opponents.

The non-league games will test Coach Zach Cuda’s team and prepare it for Ocean League play.

The opener will be against Hueneme High September 7. Then Samohi will play at Palisades before hosting Venice, Long Beach Jordan and Los Alamitos.

Last season Samohi won at Hueneme but lost at Venice. The Long Beach Jordan game replaces the one against St. Monica.         Palisades’ football field is being renovated and should be considerably improved when the football season begins.
