6th Annual Taste of Santa Monica

September 16

One good thing about food festivals is that the portions are small, “just bites,” so if you’re on a diet, you can enjoy without much guilt, while if you’re really hungry you can make a meal out of the “bites.” But Taste of Santa Monica is also an opportunity to sample dishes from more than 40 local restaurants, to see cooking demonstrations by chefs, to listen to music while imbibing cocktails and to participate in a silent auction offering food-themed travel packages as prizes. Nibble away! Noon-4pm, $40 pre-sale, $10-$45 at door, Santa Monica Pier, 310.393.9825, tasteofsantamonica.com.
