A Day Without a Bag:

On Thursday, December 20, Heal the Bay and a coalition of environmental and community organizations held “A Day Without a Bag” to encourage residents throughout LA County to use reusable bags instead of plastic. Free reusable bags were given away at locations all over Greater Los Angeles. The Santa Monica Main Library gave bags to customers who asked for them; a sign was posted about the event, and quantities were limited. Stacy McClendon came to the library because of the event.
