Project Homeless Connect Day 2008:

Project Homeless Connect Day 2008 took place on Wednesday, February 27,  at the West Los Angeles and Culver City Armories, which house the Westside Emergency Cold Weather Shelters.

West Los Angeles closed on March 3, while Culver City will remain open until March 15.  They will both reopen next winter.

Local agencies handed out literature about their programs, and people had the opportunity to make appointments for services with Chrysalis, CLARE Foundation, Common Ground, New Directions, OPCC, Veterans Administration, Hairapy, St. Robert’s Center/Catholic Charities, Venice Family Clinic, and St. Joseph Center. Volunteers from St. John’s Health Center were on hand, and donations from Brentwood Presbyterian Church, St. Monica Parish Community, Santa Monica Presbyterian Church, and Kehillat Israel of Pacific Palisades were distributed.
