Softball Roundup:

St. Monica is on a four-game losing streak after winning seven of its’ first 12 games.

 The losses have been to Culver City in a non-league doubleheader at Memorial Park, 9-3 and 8-1, to Serra, 3-1, and to Cantwell-Sacred Heart, 7-1.

 Haleigh Pellicer leads the Mariners with a .667 batting average.

 Brentwood is slumping too. The Eagles had a 1-0 win over Campbell Hall but then lost to Windward 3-0, to Paraclete 15-0, and to Marshall 15-6.

 Kelsey Grogan is batting .429.

 Crossroads had its’ fifth straight win to begin the season by defeating Brentwood, 11-1, then lost for the first time, 3-2, to Malibu, and came back with a 9-3 win over Marshall.

 The Roadrunners are 6-1 overall, including 2-0 in league games.

 New Roads has played only three games – a 12-9 win over Highland Hall, a 26-16 loss to Animo, and a 9-5 win over Shelevet.
