Venice defeated LACES, 16-0, and improved its Western League record to 8-2. The Gondoliers are in second place behind Westchester.

Danielle Mestas had four RBI, including a home run, and was the winning pitcher with eight strikeouts in five innings.

Third place Palisades lost to Westchester, 11-5, bringing its league record to 6-4.

Crossroads lost to Campbell Hall, 1-0, and Paraclete, 20-1, but defeated Brentwood 11-6.

The Roadrunners have a 7-3 record, including 3-2 in the Alpha League.

Malibu had a 3-1 non-league victory over Culver City, but lost by the same score to Santa Paula.

The Sharks’ overall record is 7-12, including 2-3 in the Frontier League.
