Paula Poundstone is back with a bang, doing a series of benefit shows for Friends of Libraries USA (FOLUSA). This is Poundstone’s first full-show LA appearance in 15 years, and it benefits the Westwood Public Library. Copies of Poundstone’s book, There’s Nothing in This Book That I Meant to Say will be on sale at the show, with proceeds donated to FOLUSA.

For the third year, local music maven and singer Suzy Williams presents a unique fusion: literary writings put to music (her own). The unintentional lyricists include Shakespeare, Vonnegut, Nabokov, Lewis Carroll, Steinbeck, Baudelaire, Norton Juster, and Raymond Chandler, and there will also be original songs by Truman Capote, Dorothy Parker, Langston Hughes, and Jack Kerouac( and you thought they were just writer-writers). With special musical guests Dreaming Awake.
