Samohi Boys Win Again:

The Santa Monica High boys basketball team is off to a fast start with eight wins in its first nine games, including a non-league 91-71 victory over Hart High Wednesday, December 17 in the Corsairs’ gym.

When Samohi begins Ocean League play in January it is expected to receive strong competition from Inglewood, which has an 8-3 record.

In other boys games involving Westside teams beginning December 15, Burbank defeated Palisades, 68-65 and New Roads absorbed losses to Santa Clara (66-13) and Lawndale (61-31).

In girls basketball, Samohi defeated Windward, 48-34 in the Beverly Hills Tournament.
