The author of several other books, Wiggins has combined in her novel the story of photographer Edward S. Curtis, who became famous for his photographs of Native Americans, and the story of a writer-named Marianne Wiggins. She will be reading from, discussing, and signing copies of her book at this event. Sustainable Quality Awards, March 25, 11:30am-2pm, Sheraton Delfina, 530 Pico Blvd., 310.393.9825.This is the fourteenth year that the Chamber of Commerce, Sustainable Works, and the City have honored local organization that are making environmental contributions to the community. This year’s luncheon and award ceremony features keynote speakers Sheila Kuehl (outgoing State Senator), and Treepeople Founder Andy Lipkis. Nominees include Bryan Cave LLP, Community Corp of Santa Monica, Fairmont Miramar Hotel, Redbull, Saint John’s Health Center, SMC, and Whole Foods Market.
