The Mariners, who are 4-5 overall, also lost a non-league game to Grace Brethren, 5-2.Jose Munoz is batting .560 (14 for 25), Michael Redondo has a .400 batting average and Anthony Yoshinaga is the team leader in RBI with eight.New Roads won twice after losing a doubleheader to Santa Clara of Oxnard, 11-1 and 13-3, giving the Jaguars six straight defeats to begin the season.The wins were over New Community Jewish of West Hills, 15-4 and Sierra Canyon, 5-4.Senior Jake Flynn is batting .429 and Quinn Barbini and Anthony Carrillo .400.Pacifica Christian, in its first year of fielding a baseball team, isn’t playing any non-league games. Its entire schedule will consist of Mulholland League opponents.The Seawolves have a 3-1 record and are tied for first place with Wildwood and Shalhevet. In head-to-head meetings with the co-leaders, Pacifica Christian lost to Wildwood and had a 28-0 win over Shalhevet. The Seawolves have some remarkable early season batting averages — David Hammer .588, Zach McMillan .556, Keenan Pieradozzi-Howes .545 and Kevin Hammer .533. The team batting average is .405.Brentwood evened its record at 4-4 with a 10-5 win over Village Christian. Its two previous games were losses — to Firebaugh of Lynwood, 3-1 and Maranatha, 20-5.Mikey Wapnick is batting .414, Scott Milne .409 and Billy Heller .407.
