Veterans for Peace:

Veterans for Peace members, military families and concerned community members delivered United States, Afghanistan and Iraqi flag-draped coffins outside Congressman Henry Waxman’s Los Angeles office and held a memorial service to show their opposition to the military escalation in Afghanistan and support non-military solutions to the conflict on Friday, April 10. In addition, they urged Waxman to sign onto a statement requesting Eric Holder to appoint a non-partisan, independent Special Counsel to immediately commence a prosecutorial investigation into the most serious alleged crimes of former President George W. Bush, former Vice President Richard B. Cheney, the attorneys formerly employed by the Department of Justice whose memos sought to justify torture, and other former top officials of the Bush Administration.
