Shown here with her entire staff, Mercede threw a great party on Sunday June 7th. This year’s anniversary was Cuban-themed: there were tapas, a nine-piece Mambo band, mojitos, sangria, a Cuban dance-off and a costume contest. The first place costume contest competitors received a $100 gift certificate. Local celebs spotted included Danny Trejo, Break’s Magazine Skye and Eugene, Venice Originals’ Block, Joey Tran, Venice Rocks’ Nik Roybal, Martin Linss, Deborah Deras, Firestation 63’s Captain Gerald, Venice Concert Series’ Michael Schuman, Big Red Sun, Sandy Holl and more.
