There are several interpretations of what “Breaking the Bow” means (see the mapid.us web site) but in this case, it is an eclectic festival that includes a kickoff party on the 22nd with Cold Tofu (a band, not a menu item), play readings, an API cabaret, and Battle of the Pitches, an innovative screenwriting pitch competition.

In memory of reporter Daniel Pearl, this event, in its third year, celebrates harmony and unity through music, featuring gifted local high school classical musicians with a special introduction by Dr. and Mrs. Judea Pearl, the parents of Daniel Pearl.
