Brentwood To Host Playoff Game:

Brentwood School has been awarded a first round game in the CIF football playoffs which start this weekend.

The Eagles will play Bishop Union High from the Mammoth area either Friday night or Saturday afternoon. The CIF dictates that playoff games be contested at night unless both teams agree otherwise. Since Brentwood’s field doesn’t have lights an alternate site is being sought.

Brentwood defeated Kilpatrick, 25-12 last Friday to finish in a three-way tie for second place in the Alpha League. The Eagles then became the No. 2 seed for the playoffs behind undefeated league champion Maranatha.

Alex Kelln, Brentwood’s running back and linebacker, was knocked out of the Kilpatrick game with a shoulder injury on the first play and tackle Mikey Stone was later injured. Their status for the first playoff game is unknown.
