St. Monica Players Make All-League:

Three St. Monica football players have been named first team all-Santa Fe League.

Quarterback Matthew Partyka,  receiver Kyle Farber, and running back Tommy Murray were recognized for their accomplishments. The accomplishments come for the four players despite the fact that the Mariners were 0-4 in league games this year.

St. Monica, which entered the season with 37 losses in 38 games over the last four years, did far better in Larry Muno’s first season as coach with three non-league victories.

Defensive back Danny White, who led the league in interceptions with five, was named to the second team.

Partyka, a junior who had been a soccer player in prior years, threw for 2,500 yards, double the amount of any other Santa Fe League quarterback.

Farber secored 72 points to rank third in the league in that category.
