Crossroads Girls Win Basketball Tournament:

The Crossroads girls basketball team won the Providence Tournament by defeating Pasadena Poly in the championship game, 65-58.

Nadine Byers, Megan Baer and Shannon McQueen of the Roadrunners were named to the all-tournament team.

Michelle Miller of Pasadena Poly, who scored 40 points in the title game, was named MVP.

Earlier in the tournament Crossroads defeated LA Baptist, 59-54 and host Providence, 43-39.

The Roadrunners lost their first two games of the season but have won their next six.

’We finally had everyone together for practice and the girls are understanding the offense,” said Coach Malek Abdul-Mansour.
