Abel Takes Samohi Softball Batting Lead:

Natalie Abel has become the leading hitter on the Santa Monica High softball team by lifting her average to .583.

Pitcher Celisha Walker remains a force by working the majority of the team’s innings and also hitting .481 with 23 RBI.

Kaile Nakao and Arielle Casillas are batting .400 and Holly Elander .392.

Last week Coach Debbie Skaggs’ team won an Ocean League game from Morningside, 15-0 and two non-league games – 8-3 over West Torrance and 3-1 over Torrance.

The Vikings’ overall record is 14-5.
