Flyer Pitches Crossroads Victory:

Josh Flyer, recovering all season from an arm injury, made his first start a memorable one by pitching Crossroads to an 8-4 win over Animo Leadership of Inglewood.

Flyer pitched seven innings and struck out nine batters. He also has three hits.

Jake Berg also had a key hit.

The 6-foot-4 Flyer, who has a baseball scholarship to Villanova, joins Max Robinson as Crossroads’ primary pitchers. However, both have been injured and Holden Miller has assumed that role.

Miller is the brother of former Crossroads star Chandra Miller, who is now playing college softball.

Crossroads then began its Delphic League schedule by defeating Sierra Canyon, 18-2 and 13-1.
